August Night AW24 explores the juxtaposition of classic and contemporary. The collection reflects an appreciation for the rich textures and intricate details that define the brand’s  signature style. 

Frequent visits to The National Museum of Decorative Arts and History in Collins Barracks influenced the story and designs behind the AW24 collection “Decorative Arts”.

Day to day elegance combines with individuality, drawing the eye and sparking curiosity at every glance.

A need for seasonal practicality sees August Night classics infused with comfort and ease along with the introduction of size adaptable, wide brim sunhat in techno taffeta and cotton canvas. 

The everyday is made precious and brought to life in unexpected fabrications such as mirrored silver and chrome silver cotton which were inspired by the album artwork cover of Goldrapp’s Silver Eye .

The Sculptor’s Studio

August Night + Tissue Collaboration

Luxe accessories brand August Night and women’s wear label Tissue have joined forces to create a limited edition of signature August Night cross body bow bags and large bow tote bags in a hand drawn oak leaf archive print by Tissue designer and illustrator, Grainne Finn. 

Drawn together by mutual admiration, both August Night and Tissue wanted to create pieces that spoke to each of their capabilities.  Playful and appealing, elevated and stand out, these special pieces are individually hand made in Ireland from a bespoke print cotton drill.

To tell the story of their collaboration, they commissioned a shoot in the beautiful Victorian surrounds of the 1898 former St.Columb’s college library in Derry. Caoimhe Grant of August Night and Hannah Mullan (one half of Tissue) are both from Derry city and knew that their chosen location echoed the timeless appeal and beauty in the every day that is central to their design ethos.

Spring Summer 2023 Shoreline

Inspired by exploring along the shoreline of Stroove Beach in County Donegal, SS23 Linen collection for August Night Accesssories is expanded. Intended to be a transitional collection between the seasons, the range now comprises five styles. The large and mini Bow crossbody , a large Bow tote, a Bow Backpack and the Twist Tote. These new additions are available in soothing, complementary  colours of shell pink, sand beige, sage green, ash grey, olive khaki and black.

Autumn Winter 2022 Reflections With The Artist

Drawing inspiration from female portraiture and representation of women artists in the 18th to 20th century, fabric and texture are the focus for the AW22 collection. Existing styles of the Mini Bow Crossbody , Bow Clutch and Knot clutch are re-interpreted with new fabrics -, a gilded floral jacquard and dusted cotton velvet in a decadent hue of Soft Rose. A new style offering is also introduced - the Twist tote offers a simple contrast to the feminine volume of the signature Bow collection.
